My name is Rosa M. Luna, Which one of us humans does not have a story? Coming from a Latino decent, but fortunately for me ,born in the United States in Eagle Pass, Texas to a large family. So what is the big deal? Well, I was born in a grocery store restroom. “HELLO?” instant U.S. Citizen! Back in the day, Mothers did not go to Doctors. so my Mom knew she was was close to giving birth but not on that day. My Mom and Dad walked crossed the bridge from Mexico to go buy Food. The rest is history.
We all are from a large family if you are Latino right? NO, not always, too many mouths to feed. Latinos are mainly Hard workers, decent people, forced to go to church, than go voluntarily later in life. some of us have bad tempers and we get into trouble with authority. Again , not always.
My Mother was a Curandera / Healer. Pass on tradition from Mothers to Daughters and Sons. After I was born my Mother predicted that she was going to have the rest of her eight children in the USA. Mom stated that “Moms are treated like Queens in a hospitals”. Mom said “Not only that , but because they were going to close the boarders to the United States and make life harder on us to cross Sure enough… it got worse in 1964.
I remember. we moved to the United States in a very small car. Mom packed it with the most important stuff and her 9 kids. I was small enough to lay flat in the back rear window shield.
My Father worked as a Trucker, My Mom, Did healings on the side, Readings, healing with herbs and sometimes people would pay her with money but what I saw that was more special was when money was not an option, people would give her Fruit, vegetables or pay with Rabbits. there was always plenty of food for our large family. I don’t ever remember being hungry Mom was a good cook and my older Sisters were always baking and cooking.
As a Curandera, Mom was always busy, Mom was available 24/7. Later she got more Stricker with people and started setting regular hours. Our house was like a clinic. and open late for emergencies only.
My Mother was a good Healer. I remember one late night, a young couple came to my Moms house with a very sick baby, Mom suggested they run to the hospital, but they did not have a car nor did they speak English. My Mom woke me up and Mom drove them to the hospital. I was the only one going to school and spoke English. up to this day I am a State certified Spanish to English and English to Spanish interpreter. I however, Cried and could not translate when I had to translate to the parents that the baby was dying, and it was too late to save her. My Mom slapped me and snapped me out of whatever it was I was going thru, I felt so bad for the young couple. they should of come sooner.
I wanted to assist in some way. My Mother and I felt so helpless . My Mother gave them a blessing and cleared them of negative energy and explained death…My Mom told the Mother to come back in two week ., she would assist her in seeing the baby and say “good Bye” I wanted to know how this is done. I saw this lady afterwards and she looked so happy and stated my Mother was an Angel and even heaven opened up for her. I learned how my Mom did that. I want to share this with those I love. this gave me love for LIFE.
Now, I do the same kind of healings using the Reiki symbols and hypnosis methods as well. I have had over 25 years of experience doing healings with people who desire to heal and have an open mind. Healings really happen when peoples minds are open. I truly wish I would of paid more attention to my Moms healings skills, but been young I just was not really that interested. I than became extremely religious and did not follow my Mothers footsteps and she died with all her remedies and knowledge of herb healings other healing skills. I use those I can remember…
I at that time did not use the internet or website to let people know about my healing abilities. Word of mouth was all I had at the time and I mainly worked on people after my day job. I was healing until nine at night and had to restrict my schedule, because I had to get up all rested for my day job. I am now trying the web. I will see how this goes.
