Have you ever wondered what happens when you die? I used to be afraid of dying, no more. Actually, I kind of look forward to it. I have read many books on this subject. Stories about people dying and coming back to life or NDE (near death experience) an alternative plane of existence happening in what ever your beliefs are during your transition.
I have been so blessed with having, what I call a gift. What kind of a gift? Being able to see, hear, and feel earthbound individuals who have died, but do not really know that they have died. Some have not crossed over to wherever their destination is, to prepare for another chance to reincarnate or sometimes the soul/spirit of the person, does not know what to do.
What we may not consider is our beliefs spread and expand into our afterlife. I have found that many people do not have a very refined belief system, so there is a lot of confusion once the soul or the divine essence leaves the body.
In my work, I have found that there are many lost, wandering souls that haven’t made it to the light. I personally feel that it is the beliefs of the culture. With all the different types of beliefs, this creates this condition and does not only give the individual soul something to follow but also creates this condition of transitioning the soul of this person.
When I do feel them or see them, they are not always alone, they are in groups. They have picked up a couple of friends, and I ask if they want help in crossing and that only those who want help are permitted to stay. All others may go. I ask my angels and spirit guides to assist those out of my range or personal space and please do not come around me unless they want help in going home.
This gives the Shaman/Curandera the capacity to travel to any soul and discover whether the soul has made it to the light or has somehow been derailed. There are certain conditions and situations that can alter a soul’s natural direction to the light and create an undefined belief.
Each incident is different, depending on his/her beliefs. When my sister, who died of cancer said she wanted to meet “Jesus” when she died. I am sure he did come to her. That was her request and belief.
If people suddenly die or violently killed, the soul may be confused and not prepared to be out of the body. Almost like in “Ghost” the movie. Starring Patrick Swayze was not sure what to do when the white light appeared to him. There are others who believe in the judgement, or hell and punishment will happen to them after death and fear during their passing.
There are other beliefs that place fear in the mind of those dear ones. I do ask them, if they believe in “Jesus” and how Jesus died for our sins? If we don’t believe in that, then he died for nothing. That story always helps to cross them over.
There are death rituals that are typically done to ensure safe crossing over to the light. Some of us pray to have our loved one cross over and go home safely. We all gather together and say a prayer about the deceased one. There are other means of traditional rituals from other tribes and cultures. Expressions of love and closures are brought in by loved ones. The feelings of peace and well being seem to touch everyone involved and feeling assured that our loved one has gone home safely, knowing that he/she is very much loved.
